Marklin Mini Club set 8189 - Z gauge - very rare Zephyr edition in genuine silver This set is a true collectors item. This rare set was produced by Marklin in Germany in 1990 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the American General Motors EMD F7 locomotive. The chassis (except the roofs) have genuine silver coating. The box contains a certificate confirming the authenticity of the set and a multi language booklet documenting the original California Zephyr train history. The locomotive is obviously powered and fully operational, forward and backwards. There are lights at the front of the locomotive and they are working, also shown in one of the pictures. The entire set had a test run on my model railroad layout before putting the set out for sale. Please note Z gauge requires care, knowlege and maintenance.
